AGAPEDIA Foundation Romania was established in August 1995, aiming to improve the quality life of children and families in difficulty, to contribute to the development of the child protection system and to create efficient social and medical services.

AGAPEDIA Foundation Romania, has 25 years of experience in developing social, medical and educational services, including services to prevent separation of children from their families, special protection for children deprived temporarily of parental care and socio-medical assistance for socially excluded people.

AGAPEDIA Foundation Romania is a member of the international network AGAPEDIA, alongside AGAPEDIA Germany, AGAPEDIA Foundation Moldova, AGAPEDIA Foundation Bulgaria and AGAPEDIA Foundation Georgia.

At a national and local level, Agapedia is a member of Community Aid Network in Brasov, Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for Children and of Federation of Social NGOs in Transylvania, the Association of the Community Cluster of Social Economy and of the Romanian Consultative Council for the Danube Strategy – EUSDR.
