1. “RurAbility – integrated project to improve the employment rate of persons employed in subsistence agriculture, persons in search of job and unemployed persons from rural areas of Brașov County”

This project was implemented by Agapedia Foundation Romania in partnership with Community Aid Network Association, co – financed through European Social Fund (ESF) in Romania through the 2007-2013 “Invest in People!” Operational Sectorial Human Resources Development Program, Priority axis 5 – Promoting active measures for employment, Key Area of Intervention 5.2 – promoting long term sustainability in rural areas in terms of human resources development and employment “Invest in People!”

Implementation period: 04.04.2014 – 03.10.2015

Project general objective was to create a sustainable system of increasing employment rate for people employed in subsistence agriculture, for persons searching for a job and unemployed persons in the rural area of Brasov County. Project was implemented in rural area of Brasov County, in: Ungra, Racos, Sinca, Soars and Hoghiz. Through this project, more than 380 persons participated in informing activities, counselling and labour mediation and non- agricultural training courses for: maid, commercial worker and food worker.

Project results:

  • 387 persons from Hoghiz, Racos, Sinca, Soars and Ungra, beneficiated from specialized assistance for increasing occupation chances;
  • 11 new persons, selected from Hoghiz, Racoș, Sinca, Soars and Ungra, were involved in the existing rural development promoter network in Brasov County;
  • 305 persons from Hoghiz, Racoș, Șinca, Șoarș and Ungra beneficiated from specialized assistance for increasing occupation chances;
  • 11 qualification courses organized in 5 rural communities involved in the project and 235 persons certified for: commercial worker, food worker and maid;
  • 57 persons found a job.

2. “Workability – multidisciplinary initiative for increasing the employment rate and employment capacity of inactive persons on the labour market and long-term unemployed people in Brasov County”

Implementation period: 04.04.2014 – 03.10.2015

The main objective of the Workability project was to improve employment capacity for 270 inactive persons and long term unemployed form Brasov County, from which minimum 50% women and 30% young. In this project, more than 270 persons participated in informing activities, counselling and labour mediation and training courses for: maid, commercial worker, development of entrepreneurial capacities, specific assistance for beginning an independent activity.

Project results:

  • 376 persons included in the target group;
  • 12 training courses (qualification courses): 3 in Sacele (2 commercial worker and 1 maid), 2 courses in Rupea (commercial worker), 2 courses in Fagaras (commercial worker),1 course in Bran (commercial worker), 1 course in Brasov (commercial worker), 1 course in Zărnești (commercial worker), 1 course in Victoria (maid); 1 specialization course in Săcele for entrepreneurial competences;
  • 252 participant in qualification and specialisation courses;
  • 232 certified persons;
  • 315 persons counselled/ labour market access;
  • 37 persons hired.

3. „ RurActiv – integrated project to improve the employment rate in Tarlungeni, Apata and Budila Communes (Brasov County, Romania)”

This project was implemented by Agapedia Foundation Romania in partnership with Tarlungeni, Budila and Apata City Hall, co-financed through European Social Fund – Operational Sectoral Human Resources Development Program 2007 – 2013 “Invest in people!”

 General objective was to create a sustainable system of supporting employment in Tarlungeni, Budila, and Apata (from Brasov County), through which persons from rural areas that were inactive on labour market benefited of free training courses for baby sitter, sanitary mediator and elderly home care.

 Project was implemented between February 2012 and January 2014.

 Project results:

  • Over 1000 persons were informed about the importance of training and legal employment, about risks of illegal work, about support services that can be accessed by persons from rural area in Brasov County in order to get employed;
  • 18 beneficiaries were involved in network of promoters of rural development;
  • 6 training courses were organized – baby sitter, sanitary mediator and elderly home care;
  • 212 persons from Apata, Budila and Tarlungeni benefited from specialized assistance for increasing employment chances;
  • 102 persons obtained a qualification as baby sitter, elderly home care or sanitary mediator;
  • 37 depended family members were assisted;
  • 21 beneficiaries obtained a job.
